There's a saying about Lahore. I've heard it translated two way - "A life without seeing Lahore is not a life" and "One who has not seen Lahore has not been born." I don't know if either or both or none of them are correct, and I was certainly born before I saw Lahore. But it was, and still is, the favorite place I have ever seen in Pakistan, and I hope to see it again some day. For now, though, I think I'll go dig through my old pictures and work on a post about how much I enjoyed Lahore...

What did you like best about Lahore? I liked the old buildings, the shopping, and also food street :-)
I think my fave places in Pakistan are the pahaari places above and near to Islamabad. They are just so beautiful and green and I love the weather there. If I had lots of $$$ I would build a house there someday.

I'm a brazilian girl married to a Pakistani and I LIVE IN LAHORE =D...I really love this city, the bestest city in pakistan..WITHOUT A DOUBT..
I also know Karachi, Multan, Islamabad, Muree... but Lahore is my fav ever and so far very much better...And U know, Lahore is The cultural capital city in Pakistan...There are soooo many places to go...It really worth to visit Lahore...;)

"One who has not seen Lahore has not been born." is more accurate literally. however, the meaning conveyed is the same as "A life without seeing Lahore is not a life".
i have also heard lahore referred to as the "street food capital of the world". it certainly would take a lot from a people to take street food as seriously as do the lahoris.
and i was born in Lahore lol
