My husband's family eats fresh jalebi (from the shop, not homemade) at night during Ramadan and puts the left overs submerged in milk overnight then eats them for sehri. They call it "doodh jalebi"
I like your haiku. Once I saw a greeting card in PK with a fat jalebi fryer pouring his tube of batter into oil in the shape of a heart and the inside of the card said:
I L.O.V.E. jalebi. I can almost still taste the last one I had in Karachi last January - it was that good. Never tried it in milk - M's family puts dates in milk for sehri sometimes, though. We just had an Indian restaurant here start a 5 o'clock chaat special where you can also get fresh jalebi. I'll have to try doodh jalebi soon.
